chingay is history. that means no more busy saturdays! hurray.
crowd control was okay. it's the usual menu i guess. acting tough so you won't get roughshod by the public, then getting scolded 'cos something will definitely screw up somewhere. well at least we can dish all the tough problems to the cisco officers. hehe. otherwise, my duty was relatively boring. but at least i got to watch the parade upfront. =))
anyway i saw ying's sis - natalie! lols.
one sucky thing about being part of the officials - you can't take photos! argh. so basically the photos i took are before and after the parade.

@curiousity kills
two days of new year gone.
kinda enjoyed myself, though it was comparatively more boring than previous years. somehow i don't get the sense of the festive mood that's suppose to be lingering around well... somewhere. haha. it was fun nonetheless, with all the gathering of the interesting cousins of mine. bet ya don't have a seven-year-old cousin pestering you for horror stories every minute of the day. where did all those cute little girls who wanted fairytales disappear to? it was really hilarious, our conversation.
cousin: tell me ghost story. me: once there was an old, old house. erm, and there lived a ghost. cousin: then? me: then nothing laa. cousin: then? me: nobody ever saw the ghost lor. cousin: then? me: *mind blank* then cos i also never see before. so i duno maa. cousin: then? me: -___-"
after that we were watching harrypotter movie (the chamber of secrets) on the telly, when she started asking me why the whomping willow can move, why the whomping willow is hitting harry and ron's car, why does the whomping willow have a name and of course, is it a ghost? well, i was stumped. so i told her all violent trees deserves a name. and with that i bailed on her. o___o who was the smart aleck that said we should all be curious? ugh.
oh yarh. i've gotten a few pictures online. it's all contributed from my hp, cos i haven't uploaded those from my cam. and they are pathetically few.

@celebrations
happy chinese new year! =))
i'm currently in a delirious state. four uninterrupted, peaceful, stress-relieving days of break from school is more than what i would bargain for. to whoever who made this happen... thankyou thankyou thankyou! <33
anyway yesterday went for an early celebration of ying's birthday, cos it so happens her birthday falls on her study break which implies that she's suppose to be studying instead. =x we wandered aimlessly about tampines, the original meeting place. but ended up at parkway, visiting poor kenneth at isetan crocs where he was dilligently working, and it seems preordained that we would then proceed to indulge in our favourite activity -- kbox! i practically sang like a frog but it was fun! =))
after that we met ngeow for dinner -or supper, since it was late- at simpang bedok. throughout the meal, we were all assiduously contributing cold jokes, to increase our own collection, while trying very hard to swallow the spicy mee goreng we ordered. *gulps* i guess the excitement took a toll on me and i just collapsed in bed the moment i reach home.
the next morning i went with yan to far east to get her top and also mine. saw this fabulous skirt selling at 19.90 and they don't have my size! ugh. i've reached the zenith of my unluckiness.
i've finished reading papa hemingway. by my own avowal, it had really taken a ridiculously long time for me to finish this book. and i can't say how relieved i am to have finally completed it. the book started out from when hemingway was a vibrant and strong man who had his own forceful opinions about life and relationships. but as the story progressed (the story consists of the last 14years of his life) you'll see the change in him. a gradual shift towards the weak, vulnerable person that was so contrasting from his younger days, you helpless to feel the impact of ageing. knowing how the story would end, knowing that hemingway committed suicide didn't lessen the blow of that particular scene at ending pages of the biography. there's always this little twinge of regret.
oh well. shan't elaborate much. just that those looking for a good biography should probably give this a shot.
i'm suppose to wake up real early tomorrow. so that's all for today.

@lots of firsts
june's back in singapore! haha. rushed over to her house right after tennis yesterday. o__o super tiring. i nearly self-annihilated on the way there. lols. anyway while the mass of us were 'conglomerating' in her living room playing cards and ingesting large amounts of calories, i had my first coke float! okay.. i know what you're thinking. omg, she's like sooo noob. but i'm not obliged to eat icecream with coke, am i? lols. our dear june made the wrong float for me though. she poured coke with choc icecream instead of vanilla. tasted weird. >__<
today is a good day, cos the lessons were short, sweet and almost painless. boring, but well i can still take a little boredom. *shrugs* i think i died in econs consolidation exercise again. ugh. and i am sooo tempted to go for the london field trip in june. ahhh.
by the way, today is also the first tennis outing we had. made our way over to seoul gardens in tampines to pig out. (i'll need to work out extra hard during PE tomorrow. argh.) i enjoyed it loads. haha. lots of good food, talk, laughter and hilarious antics by alan. i love those peeps to bits. hopefully we'll get to go out together sometime sooner! HEHE.

i'm so sick of waiting.
nobody's uploading the subbed version of prince of tennis ova on youtube anymore! argh. i've been waiting for the subs of episode 8 onwards for at least 2mths. even episode 11 is out. and i don't spot any subbed episodes yet. only those stupid raw videos that i can't comprehend at all, with my less-than-minimal grasp on the language. ahhhh. some kindhearted please respond to my plea.... i want subs!
tomorrow, pasir ris park is going to stink to high heavens due to a somewhat large group of sweaty beings.... 'cos mjc is having college road race. LOLS. simply stating my feelings on the upcoming event, i hate running. ugh. but since it's compulsory and i've a sudden urge at making an attempt to burn off all the extra calories so... SARAH ALL THE WAY! lols.
i feel like watching mulan. hahaha. randomness. P.S. hope you guys enjoyed the videos in the prev entry. i sure hell laughed alot. HEHE.

@loosen up
woohoo. sarah's here yet again.
no posts recently since the crash of my computer.. again. and also the hectic school life i'm currently strapped to. haha. but! after spending big bucks on revamping my entire cpu, my comp is alive and kicking now! yippee~
oh yarh. i'm using vista now. cool but it's so ex. *stabs heart*
went for the compass workshop today. there were suppose to have 31 courses available to choose but when i went into the portal on the FIRST day of registration, all interesting and acceptable courses were fully booked. damn..... so out of all the uninteresting courses, i picked law, which i did have interest in anyway.
i walked into the lesson workshop today with anticipation. but i left disappointed and dreading the next lesson. the lecturer was boring and all we did was to listen to him blab on about the difference between solicitors and barristers etc. erh wait. that is IF we can hear him cos he speaks soooo softly. rahh. basically i came out learning almost close to nil. i should have gone with my instincts and gone for that computer networking course. ahh!
never mind. it's just one more of this torturous lesson and i'm free. >__<
anyway, i watched this at justin's house that day and i really loved it. enjoy!
