back from my trip to thailand. *tired*
although it has been a long while, about four years, since i've went there, nothing much has changed. the buildings, busy roads and people are still somewhat familiar. since the entire group consists of only girls, the trip seems to be fraught with dangers. especially with paranoid mothers with frayed nerves, worrying about daughters getting lost and other stuff you can think of. it was rather amusing. *grins*
in the previous trip, my dad decided to book a van to shuttle us around bangkok for convenience's sake. so no worries about cabbies and
tuktuks, which is a distant relative of the trishaw, with a motorcycle and a tiny carriage for three. we also had mom's colleague in thailand to bring us around. however, this time we decided to go for a do-everything-ourselves trip! lols. it was totally chaotic, exciting, tiring and amusing. we decided not to commute by their skytrain or buses, because it was so confusing and crowded. plus, a great deal more expensive for a big group of six. since mom has an aversion to
tuktuks cos of reckless drivers and the fact that it could only carry three, we also rejected the idea of travelling in a
tuktuk. so... the only conclusion is that we have to take cabs! haha. i love the cabs in thailand, because they are really colourful and eye-catching. i took a few photos of each of the cabbie!

cool isn't it? ^_^ i love the pink cabbie the most! it's just sooo bright and cheerful. *grins* anyway, i think most of the population in thailand must be cabbie drivers, because there's simply sooo many cabs around. all you have to do is just raise your arm and tada! a cabbie at your service. lols. nice.
didn't do a lot of shopping though. haha no idea why since we went to quite a number of places, for example the central world, MBK, platinum plaza, chatuchak the weekend market and suan lum night bazaar. the night bazaar is a really lively place. lots of people, lots of lights. but we went off early since everyone was practically dead on their feet from all the walking the entire day. tsktsk. what a waste. lols.
all in all it was an okay trip. the fun part was still travelling with my cousins. it had been a long long long time since we went on a holiday together. and what's more.. it's a girls' outing! *grins*
