@countdown to promos - 8wks
i'm done with bio practicals! we were all made to swear that "we will not divulge anything we've done in the lab" so i shall not mention anything till everyone finished with theirs. but overall i would say i wasn't at tiptop condition. screwed up a few steps along the way and my written experimental report was horrendous. didn't have enough time to complete it. yikes! but something that was correct - the experimental object was live. hahaha. and like tadpoles...
THEY. trampolined. OFF. my. FISHNET. too. *groans*
yeah well you can imagine what happened next. i picked them up with my bare hands AGAIN.
gross. i guess they have been so tortured by the students over the past few days that they cant wait to receive my tender loving care. *rolls eyes* and though i really find them cute, i am so deliriously happy that there is not going be any SPA practicals in the near weeks. whew.
there had been a few events happening in MJC over the past few days:
o1. security seminar by MINDEFo2. arrival of baoding students visiting from chinao3. talk with principal regarding MYE results.the seminar was not really well done, because of firstly the audience and secondly the emcee. well MJC gave me the impression that they are not quite a bunch of outspoken and 'i love national issues' people. so quite a group of people actually started drifting off to wonderland halfway the seminar. but i felt a little angry at those who were talking while the guests are speaking. it's rather disrespectful especially since they came from rather high ranks in the service. BUT, i am most pissed off at the rude and insulting emcee. one of the students who went up to pose a question during the Q&A made quite long a statement before coming on to the question. guess what the emcee said? well, the distinguished master of the ceremony actually commented that the student was very 'lor saw', which means longwinded. hello? even if the student was longwinded, i don't think it's really appropriate to make that statement, say out loud and into the mic before the entire cohort. to think he's still a SENIOR officer in the mindef. *rolls eyes* there are still a tonne of things he did that grate on my nerves but i'm lazy to type. count yourself lucky, officer.i've really got nothing to say about the principal talk we had. it was supposed to be inspiring and encouraging, but when the whole JC1 cohort left the hall, we were feeling demoralised and depressed. great. like what the principal said 8 weeks into promos and for those who think they can be able to catch up with studies last minute, are always welcomed into her office and let her analyse for you why it is simply not possible. HA! like anyone would walk into her office willingly. she gave an example of a JC2 senior who was talking to her. quoting her words, "
he was happy like a lark when he came to find me and told me that he had 104days to study till A'levels", and after ms lai had her word with him, he wanted to find a hole to cry and die. nice encouragement there. good job. gee, that's really freaky.
anyway working on my new GP project! haha. first time i've actually encountered a project with an entire period for presentation which meant it's 50minutes per group. wow. everyone's pulling their hair out trying to lengthen whatever they are planning to say. haha. my group's project title is one of the best one out of the list: "
Sweat, Glamour and Beckham - Sporting Celebrities and their Representations". yayy! this is really great cos all of us still have the worldcup fever burning in the blood. and though this is not all about soccer, we are definitely going to broach on that particular sport. *grins*
i'm off to do my research! (: see ya.
